HR Truck Driver

Job Title: HR Hooklift Truck Driver Location: Townsville, QLD Job Type: Contract / Long-Term

About the Role We are currently seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and experienced HR Hooklift Truck Driver to join our busy team based in Townsville. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a stable, long-term position in a growing local business.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Heavy Rigid hook trucks, transporting materials across various sites in the Townsville region. Please note that this is a hands-on role—when you aren't behind the wheel, you will be expected to assist with general manual labouring duties on site.

Your Roster

• Monday to Friday
• Some Saturday work required (paid at applicable rates)

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of an HR Hooklift Truck within Townsville and surrounding areas.
• Delivery, collection, and safe transport of bins/materials.
• Performing daily pre-start checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Undertaking manual labouring duties as required (e.g., loading/unloading, site cleanup, and general physical work).
• Completing run sheets and compliance documentation accurately.
• Strict adherence to all safety, transport, and site regulations.

What You Need to Succeed (Requirements)

• A current and valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence (or higher).
• Previous experience operating Hooklift trucks is highly regarded.
• A strong work ethic and the physical fitness to confidently perform manual labouring duties.
• A proactive attitude toward workplace health and safety.
• Reliable transport to and from work.

Mandatory Screening To be successful in this role, you must be willing and able to pass the following pre-employment checks:

• Comprehensive Drug & Alcohol screening
• Pre-employment Physical/Medical Assessment
• National Police Check
